Shelley’s projects, include 30 years experience in highly detailed Interior Commercial Fit-outs; Private Houses; and Community based Urban projects and Competitions.
Community projects have been of consistent interest to Indyk. From 1988-1993 Indyk in collaboration with Jan Felton Architect was consultant to The Aboriginal Housing Company, Redfern. Projects ranged from feasibility studies, government funding submissions, master planning schemes, detailed architectural works documented constructed and supervised.
From 1999-2000 Indyk as core member of the Peace Park Design Team - was involved in the making of The Oxford Falls Peace Park, as the commissioned winners of a competitive expression of interest. Working closely with the Oxford Falls Community and Warringah Council, a park was created, based around the single room Schoolhouse at Oxford Falls using both landscape and architectural elements.
During 1998, while living in Jerusalem Israel, Indyk conducted an International Landscape/Architectural Seminar for Landscape + Architectural students from Spain, Norway, Palestine and Israel and followed up with a seminar of teaching at Technion Haifa. She also collaborated with Israeli + Palestinian professionals on the Cultural + political mapping of Jerusalem for the Middle East Design Forum and worked on International competitions such as Bethlehem 2000, Tel Aviv Urban Square and the transformation of the Gallipoli National Park into a Peace Park.
In 2001 her office worked with the Palestinian Architect Omar Youssef, from Jerusalem, in a limited competition for a New Community Mosque in Nazareth. Their work came second in the competition.
In 2005 Indyk was invited as a Design Mentor, for a United Nations supported ‘Global Studio’ with 60 overseas architecture and planning students, working with a small urban community in Zeyrek, Istanbul Turkey.
In 2006 Indyk Architects was selected in an invited competition to design for The Buttery - a drug rehabilitation community in Bungalow.
In 2006 the team won an Expression of Interest for the Masterplan for a Synagogue Community in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, and in 2009 the DA application was approved for that Masterplan. Work continued to tender phase on the whole Masterplan during 2012-2013.
The period 2009-2018 has seen much growth with the relationship between Amalgamated Holdings Pty Ltd, now Event Entertainment, and Indyk Architects. The office has developed a professional understanding and a high level design resolution for masterplanning, cinemas, public auditoriums and public places and 5 star hotels.

Born & trained in Adelaide, Brett has over 20 years experience working with both large & small offices in Adelaide & Sydney. His experience extends across a wide range and scale of projects, from Precinct Master Planning, to Hospitality & Residential design, working as both Design and Project Architect. His roles have included coordinating and working closely with clients, sub consultants, builders, specialist designers and tradespeople.
As Project Architect for the Thredbo Precinct redevelopment, his role included the redesign of the culturally significant Hotel, reimagining the public plaza and retail spaces, & the design of a new Ski Bridge. The scale and complexity of this project required working closely with specialist engineering and design consultants, including structural & sustainability engineers. The objective for the project was to achieve a 6 star green rating.
Interior Designer - Senior Interior Designer
Since graduatIng from Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication in London 2001, Johan has been working for some of the top interior design agencies in London such as Ou Baholyodin Studio and Virgile and Stone, where he spent 10 years working on high end interior projects throughout the world, including retail, restaurant & hotel interiors. He has also been responsible for designing furniture ranges and from this developed a comprehensive knowledge of joinery construction and detailing.
Johan’s overseas experience has been invaluable in the development of his design precision and awareness. Johan joined Indyk Architects in 2009.
Interior Designer- Senior Interior Designer
Since graduating in 1995, Christine has worked on projects in London, throughout Europe and Australia.
Since moving to Australia, Christine has been working with various design practices including Idiom Design, Collins Vergnaud Architecture design, Crone Partners Interior Studio where she continued to develop her design skills and those of project management and coordination. She has been senior designer on luxury residential apartments and hotels, commercial showrooms and retail as well as restaurants.
The broad diversity of projects Christine has been involved with, has given her extensive experience in planning and project development, adding to her already advanced creative abilities and her particular attention to joinery detailing and finishes. Christine joined Indyk Architects in 2009.
Graduate Architect - Dipl.Ing. Architecture
Nick has extensive architectural experience in design documentation, architectural competitions and architectural visualisations.
He is also an award winning Industrial Designer and brings his wholistic design approach to every project. He has 18 years of postgraduate work experience including 10 years local work experience.
Nick has worked as project architect on small and large scale projects, including public buildings, master-planning, commercial, retail, hospitality and residential projects. He is experienced and proficient in a variety of CAD platforms as well as visualisation, 3d modelling and graphics.
Nick joined Indyk Architects in 2012.
Architect - Master of Arts in Architecture
Silvia comes from Padua Italy. She recently joined Indyk Architects in June 2016.
Excited by travel experiences, education and design development Silvia has worked in England with Stubbs Rich, Denmark with Soren Robert Lund, and most recently working with Technostudio in Padova converting a 16th century Venetian palazzo-Keller Palace into a hotel.
Collaborating with Arch. Giulia Basso in 2015, she was awarded with the first prize on the Masterplan for Villanova di Camposampiero competition, Piazza Mercato.
Silvia graduated from Academia d'Archittectura Mendrisio, Switzerland, in 2012.
