Shelley’s projects, include 30 years experience in highly detailed Interior Commercial Fit-outs; Private Houses; and Community based Urban projects and Competitions.

Community projects have been of consistent interest to Indyk. From 1988-1993 Indyk in collaboration with Jan Felton Architect was consultant to The Aboriginal Housing Company, Redfern. Projects ranged from feasibility studies, government funding submissions, master planning schemes, detailed architectural works documented constructed and supervised.

From 1999-2000 Indyk as core member of the Peace Park Design Team - was involved in the making of The Oxford Falls Peace Park, as the commissioned winners of a competitive expression of interest.  Working closely with the Oxford Falls Community and Warringah Council, a park was created, based around the single room Schoolhouse at Oxford Falls using both landscape and architectural elements.

During 1998, while living in Jerusalem Israel, Indyk conducted an International Landscape/Architectural Seminar for Landscape + Architectural students from Spain, Norway, Palestine and Israel and followed up with a seminar of teaching at Technion Haifa.  She also collaborated with Israeli + Palestinian professionals on the Cultural + political mapping of Jerusalem for the Middle East Design Forum and worked on International competitions such as Bethlehem 2000, Tel Aviv Urban Square and the transformation of the Gallipoli National Park into a Peace Park.

In 2001 her office worked with the Palestinian Architect Omar Youssef, from Jerusalem, in a limited competition for a New Community Mosque in Nazareth. Their work came second in the competition.

In 2005 Indyk was invited as a Design Mentor, for a United Nations supported ‘Global Studio’ with 60 overseas architecture and planning students, working with a small urban community in Zeyrek, Istanbul Turkey.

In 2006 Indyk Architects was selected in an invited competition to design for The Buttery - a drug rehabilitation community in Bungalow.

In 2006 the team won an Expression of Interest for the Masterplan for a Synagogue Community in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, and in 2009 the DA application was approved for that Masterplan. Work continued to tender phase on the whole Masterplan during 2012-2013.

The period 2009-2015 has seen much growth with the relationship between Amalgamated Holdings Pty Ltd and Indyk Architects. The office has developed a professional understanding of Cinemas, public auditoriums and public places including a keen sensibilty for Hotel design. An ongoing project being undertaken for this client, has seen the  Indyk team working with  many consultants evolve a strategic masterplan  for a local snow resort.
