QT SYDNEY CARPET DESIGN

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Shelley Indyk created a unique carpet design for the QT State building guestroom hallways. Inspired and restricted in part by the need to reference the pre existing Heritage floors of terrazzo, and inspired by the American abstractionist paintings of Mark Rothko a carpet was created for hallway and guestrooms. The hallway colourings were limited to the ochre highlighted palette, while the guestrooms modulated between the red and yellow ochre palette. The carpets were manufactured and developed with Brintons pty ltd.
