QT HOTEL - MELBOURNE
Completed 2016

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
This project is the culmination of 3.5 years work for Indyk Architects as interior architects for all Guest rooms, Apartments and hallways, Candelapas Architects as the master architects of the new build and Nic Graham as Interior Designer for all public spaces. A collaboration of the three companies with David Seargeant-the visionary and client.

QT hotels are a 5 star hotel group being developed in Australian cities and Australian resort areas and now also in New Zealand. The Melbourne hotel will be a synthesis for Indyk Architects of an 'industrial chic' approach. All guest rooms have been fully designed by the Indyk Team and most joinery and loose furniture designed by Indyk team has been manufactured in China. Bathrooms have been manufactured wholly as an aluminium framed glazed system with JEB international, based in Hong Kong.

Melbourne Graffitti artist James Beattie collaborated with Indyk and Brintons to create the unique tagged rugs in the rooms. The Hallway carpet runner is a unique design by Indyk and Jo Woolley from Brintons. Melbourne artist Prof Patsy Payne has designed and made all metal art pieces on walls within the Guestrooms, coordinated by Artduo from Sydney.
