PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The clients brief detailed a place of living that when opened up, would feel as if it was surrounded and within, a wonderful sustainable garden. The ‘essence of home’ to the client, was to be able to ‘inhabit’ the garden. The architectural concept developed, was a series of buildings linked by gardens and courtyards.The more communal part of the house was to the west of the linking verandah, while the more personal spaces were on the eastern edge. The house would incorporate all sustainable systems into the design.
